Stars and casts from the current Broadway line-up have been busy in the studio, recording for the 2013 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 15. Singing traditional and original holiday songs, this annual holiday music CD benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. Tony Award-winner Faith Prince returns to Broadway as evil orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in the new Broadway production of Annie at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets). As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink will share the title role of ANNIE on Broadway, beginning performances on Tuesday, July 30. Shout! Broadway released the new 2012 Cast Recording for ANNIE CD on Tuesday, June 18. To celebrate the release of the CD cast members Jane Lynch, Anthony Warlow, Lilla Crawford, Brynn O'Malley, Clarke Thorell, creators Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Tom Meehan and more signed copies of the album at Barnes & Noble (160 East 54th Street at 3rd Avenue) yesterday. Shelter dogs throughout New York City make their Broadway debuts on the way to adoption thanks to SANDY'S RESCUE PALS, a new dog adoption partnership between the current Broadway production of Annie, the Tony Award-winning musical; Pedigree Brand; and Bobbi and the Strays.
