Since its 1977 debut, all productions of ANNIE on Broadway have starred real-life shelter dogs as Sandy, Annie's adopted and loyal companion, with all of the dogs discovered and trained by 2011 Tony Honor recipient William Berloni.

ANNIE, one of the best-loved family musicals of all time, takes center stage at North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) now through Sunday, July 29. Press night is tonight, July 18 at 7:30pm. Andrea McArdle, Broadway's original Annie, now stars as Annie's arch nemesis Miss Hannigan in the new production of 'Annie' at the North Carolina Theatre in Raleigh. The production runs through August 1st. To bring this beloved villain to life, McArdle undergoes a transformation every night...with the help of some make-up and a blonde wig. Make-up and wig extraordinaire Patricia DelSardo lends her skilled hands to help ensure that everything is place before the first bars of 'Tomorrow' are heard in the overture.
