25th Istanbul Theatre Festival to Take Place This October and November

With the slogan “Theatre In These Trying Times”, the 25th edition of the festival has set out to breathe fresh air into both the world of theatre and to theatre lovers with a programme of mostly new productions that look at the world, which is in search of a new normal, through the lens of theatre.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Everyman Theatre Productions have announced the full tour dates for Ronald Harwood's highly acclaimed drama The Dresser starring the much loved UK entertainer Julian Clary as 'Norman' and Olivier Award winner Matthew Kelly as 'Sir'.
Darlinghurst Theatre Company Restructures As 30th Anniversary Approaches

As the company edges towards 30 years, Darlinghurst Theatre Company has unveiled a new two-pronged leadership team with our current Co-Artistic Director Amylia Harris promoted as sole Artistic Director and founding CEO Glenn Terry taking on the newly created role of Executive Director. This restructuring is accompanied by Terry's announcement that he plans to retire in early 2022, signalling the start of a search for his successor.

Directed by Olivier Award-winning Terry Johnson, The Dresser will run at Theatre Royal Bath from 9 September 2021, before dates at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre, Theatre Royal Brighton, Norwich Theatre Royal, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Richmond Theatre, Malvern Festival Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury and newly announced– the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and the King's Theatre in Edinburgh where the tour finishes in February 2022.

I recently saw Pass Over in previews on Broadway, and I am so glad I was able to experience the energy of live theater again! Pass Over was written by Antoinette Chinoye Nwandu in 2018 and took inspiration from Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. Two young men perform in a cycle passing the time and hoping things could be different until a stranger wanders in to disrupt their pattern. Overall, the play follows the theme of making your way out through profanity and slang terms warped into poetic philosophical questions.

Tickets will be sold at the BO only, starting at 10 am on the day of the performance, and will be available until the box office has sold 30 tickets. Two tickets are allowed to be purchased per person, first come, first served. Tickets are $32.50 + $2.50 per ticket.

PASS OVER announced today that it has launched a digital lottery with Lucky Seat for its Broadway run, which began last night, Wednesday August 4, at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W 52nd Street, New York, NY). Opening night is set for Sunday September 12.
