ABC's hit fall series “mixed-ish” and “Stumptown” have been given full-season orders, while “The Rookie” received a spring season pickup, Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the return of its hit Tyler Perry drama “The Haves and the Have Nots,” which premieres its seventh season on Tuesday, January 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The popular series comes back with a vengeance as the Cryer, Harrington and Young families fight for their very existence.

Multiplatinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning global superstar Mariah Carey debuted the “mixed-ish” theme song to partygoers at the “Embrace Your Ish” premiere event on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Goya Studios. Entitled “In The Mix,” the track is written by Carey, and produced by Carey and Daniel Moore. ABC's “black-ish,” “grown-ish” and “mixed-ish” executive producer Kenya Barris welcomed Mariah Carey to the stage, where they discussed the genesis of the theme song and the importance of multiracial representation on television. “In The Mix” is now available on ABC.com,  iTunes,  Spotify, Apple Music, Google and Deezer. The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 13th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 5-15, 2019, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2019 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. The second season of the epic sci-fi adventure comedy with a plethora of heart, Final Space, will premiere on Monday, June 24th at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim.

The Johnsons will be back for Season 6 of “black-ish,” as The ABC Television Network announced it is picking up the acclaimed comedy for the 2019-2020 season. In addition, ABC will expand the award-winning “black-ish” franchise even further, with the network giving an early series order to “mixed-ish,” a spinoff about Rainbow Johnson's experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the '80s.

The NAACP today announced that globally dominant pop culture icon Shawn 'JAY-Z' Carter will receive the prestigious President's Award during the 50th NAACP Image Awards. The President's Award is presented in recognition of a special achievement and distinguished public service with previous recipients including Jesse Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Soledad O'Brien, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, and Muhammad Ali among others. NAACP President Derrick Johnson will present the award to Shawn 'JAY-Z' Carter during a LIVE TV special on TV One on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Anthony Anderson.

Deadline reports Anders Holm, Tika Sumpter, and Arica Himmel will lead Black-ish's upcoming Bow-centric episodes, which features flashbacks of Tracee Ellis Ross' Rainbow. Gary Cole, Ethan William Childress, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Second City Chicago alum Christina Anthony have joined the potential spinoff series set in the 80s and 90s. 

The NAACP today announced that mass media icon Tom Joyner will be honored with the Vanguard Award at the 50th NAACP Image Awards. The Vanguard Award is presented to a person whose groundbreaking work increases our understanding and awareness of racial and social issues. To date, the special award has been presented to Aretha Franklin, Clive Davis, surviving Memphis Sanitation Workers, Prince, Russell Simmons, Stanley Kramer, Steven Spielberg and Wyclef Jean. Tiffany Haddish, scheduled to headline the Aces of Comedy series at The Mirage Hotel & Casino January 25 - 26, has released a limited number of VIP packages to benefit the "She Ready Foundation." The Foundation was created by Haddish to ease the burden on foster children. 

IFC Films has acquired the U.S. rights to Joe Chappelle's An Acceptable Loss, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The distributor plans to release the film theatrically in January 2019.
