Erich Bergen to Star in Musical Comedy HOW SWEET IT IS

(May. 20 6:55 PM) - Erich Bergen has been set to star in How Sweet It Is, a musical comedy feature film, now in production in Los Angeles. The movie, which also stars Joe Piscopo, Erika Christensen, Paul Sorvino, Michael Paré, Eddie Griffin, and Burt Reynolds, is directed by Brian Herzlinger, and is scheduled for a Fall 2012 release.

LA Chamber Orchestra Presents 23rd Annual Silent Film Gala Tonight, 5/20

(May. 20 1:30 AM) - Join Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra tonight, May 20 at 6:30 pm for their 23rd Annual Silent Film Gala. The evening will feature Harold Lloyd’s films, The Kid Brother (1927) and High and Dizzy (1920,) accompanied by the LA Chamber Orchestra conducted by Carl Davis. Music for The Kid Brother was commissioned by Thames Television for Channel 4. Newly composed music by Carl Davis for High and Dizzy will have its U.S. premiere on May 20.

Museum of the Moving Image Presents Wes Anderson Retrospective, Now thru 5/27

(May. 18 12:30 AM) - American director Wes Anderson has built colorful, beautifully realized worlds in his seven feature films, from his stunning debut Bottle Rocket to his latest Cannes Film Festival opening feature, Moonrise Kingdom. From today, May 18 through 27, 2012, Museum of the Moving Image will present a Wes Anderson retrospective including all of his features and the short Hotel Chevalier, as well as a special screening of Orson Welles’s The Magnificent Ambersons—a film that inspired Anderson. Each screening in the series will open with a personal video introduction by Wes Anderson.
