In a career that spans more than three decades, legendary and Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz returns to the road this holiday season for his 21st annual Dave Koz Christmas Tour. Special guests joining Dave this year will be Mindi Abair, pop/blues saxophonist/singer who makes her first Christmas tour appearance; South African guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler; and Japanese keyboard sensation Keiko Matsui.

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) presents Los Angeles' legendary UnCabaret, celebrating 25 years of groundbreaking comedy in a one-time-only evening of wildly fun, idiosyncratic live performance, music and never-before-seen footage. Keyboardist, bandleader and collaborator Erik Deutsch has released his sixth album, Falling Flowers, today via LoHi Records – listen via Soundcloud. Glide Magazine premiered Falling Flowersin full ahead of its release earlier this week, noting that the album “combines haunting and healing grooves along with tenacious songwriting chops that keep listeners discovering more upon each listen.'

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) and The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles will once again team up to present 14 bold programs by leading innovators and acknowledged masters in contemporary dance, music, theater and literature, featuring pioneering champions for social justice and diverse world views. Offering more than 40 unique events and 60 performances, CAP UCLA's new season runs from September 22, 2018, to May 10, 2019, and will open and close with programs at Ace.

Keyboardist Erik Deutsch makes American music, pure and simple. Over the last two decades plus, he's earned a stellar reputation as a bandleader and collaborator, working with artists like Steven Bernstein, Theo Bleckmann, Rosanne Cash, Nels Cline, Charlie Hunter, Shooter Jennings, Norah Jones, Leftover Salmon, Shelby Lynne, and many, many more. At the same time, he's made five albums under his own name full of willfully uncategorizable compositions that combine jazz, funk, country and rock into a swirling, raucous blend that jumps, struts, croons and shouts. His sixth album as a leader, Falling Flowers, will be released September 14 onLoHi Records.

Superstar songwriters Rafe Van Hoy, Marla Cannon-Goodman, Dale Dodson, Waylon Payne, Don Sampson and Ronnie Bowman will pay tribute to Hank Cochran and Red Lane at 3rd & Lindsley (816 3rd Ave. South) on Wednesday, January 17 to benefit The Hank Cochran Pen Fund. Tickets are $10; doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30. The 501(c)(3) charity focuses its efforts on financially assisting songwriters with cancer.

Midwest orchestral indie rock band Cloud Cult is thrilled to be playing Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series on January 26th in the Appel Room.

Grammy Award-winning musician Rickie Lee Jones kicks off the annual WFUV Live at Zankel Hall concert series with an intimate, one-night-only performance on Friday, October 27 at 10:00 p.m. Jones, who is widely applauded for her intricate mix of jazz, rock, and folk, will perform selections from her recently released album The Other Side of Desire, in addition to songs from her legendary musical catalogue.
