IFC Films announced today that the company is acquiring all North American rights to director Michael Walker's comedy PRICE CHECK. Walker also wrote the screenplay for the film, with Parker Posey, Eric Mabius, Annie Parisse, Josh Pais, Cheyenne Jackson, and Edward Herrmann starring. Dolly Hall produced the picture, which made its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. IFC Films will release the film on VOD on October 11th and theatrically on November 16th.

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Included in this year's line-up is Price Check, featuring Cheyenne Jackson, Parker Posey, and Annie Parisse.The Festival will be held January 19 through 29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Best known as co-writer and co-creator of the hit musical, Altar Boyz, the award-winning composer/lyricist will have a special one-night only CD release event on Monday, November 7 at 7:00 PM as part of 'Broadway at Birdland,' the weekly concert series at the legendary jazz club.

Today we are talking to the songwriter responsible for the new collection of songs culled from his many musical theatre ventures, both new and old - oh-so-appropriately titled OUT OF CONTEXT - who perhaps is best known to Broadway babies as the composer/lyricist of the mid-00s Off-Broadway smash boy-band spoof musical ALTAR BOYZ - the versatile and fiercely committed Michael Patrick Walker.
