Pandemics can't stop Broadway Global Producer of the Year nominations!

Since April 2020, Peter Michael Marino has been bringing his wildly popular 'Show Up, Kids! Online Live!' to kids' computers around the world. Pete is now performing live, personalized, interactive Zoom birthday shows.

WUCF, Central Florida PBS, collaborates with regional theater Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF to bring a broadcast of Jack and the Beanstalk to Central Florida. The live recording of this jazzy, modern interpretation of the classic fairy tale was written by music legend, and Central Florida local, Michael Andrew.

Peter Michael Marino continues the run of his wildly popular 'Show Up, Kids! Online LIVE!' with interactive performances on Fridays and Saturdays from May 15-30 at 4:00 P.M. EST. Kids from all over the world will feel like they're a part of this groundbreaking interactive live event as they hear their names, offer story suggestions, and are called on to help Pete put on a real live show.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Royal Albert Hall Celebration will stream today as The Shows Must Go On continues! Fans can tune in today, May 1 (2pm), to watch this tribute, which was held in honor of the composer's 50th birthday. Performers include Tina Arena, Antonio Banderas, Glenn Close, Donny Osmond, and more.

The Philly POPS raises a glass to an iconic Copa room performance in a toast to the Chairman-SINATRA: A Man and His Music, May 1-3, 2020 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

Due to popular demand, winter recess, and an unexpected bulk juice box order, Peter Michael Marino's 'Show Up, Kids!a?? extends its run at The Kraine Theater through February 29. This interactive, semi-improvised, family show for kids 3-10 years old puts a wildly comedic, theatrical twist on the traditional kids' show. When the main attraction doesn't show up, Pete enlists the help of the kids to provide prompts and control everything from plot to props, characters to costumes, and settings to sound in a one-of-a-kind, 60-minute laughfest.

The Laboratory Theater of Florida's production of SEX TIPS FOR STRAIGHT WOMEN FROM A GAY MAN, based loosely on the book of the same name by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman, is a hilarious and surprising show. 

Usually when people hear the word Frankenstein one image comes to mind: the inarticulate groaning hulk. Opening this weekend and running through Halloween on Stagecrafters' 2nd Stage is A. S. Peterson's version of Frankenstein, where The Monster is unlike the popular film adaptions that comes to everyone's mind. The play doesn't feature a terrifying and unthinking creature, instead The Monster feels emotions and asks questions that all humans ask themselves a?" according to Peterson, a?oehis Frankenstein is not your mama's Frankenstein.a?? BroadwayWorld Detroit was able to have an in-depth interview with the play's director, Andrew Clements, and the man behind The Monster in the show, Michael Meike, to find out what makes this new version so unique and thrilling, yet still be inspired by the classic Frankenstein story by Mary Shelley that audiences have come to know and love.

Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF continually looks for new and effective ways of breaking down barriers to offer accessible and inclusive programming for all. Over the past two years, the company has experimented with live stream technology by broadcasting Children's Series productions. The Children's Series productions at Orlando Shakes aim to give students, particularly those in marginally served schools and communities, exposure to high quality, professional productions; broadcasting live performances to schools across the state is another step toward bringing arts engagement to every classroom.

Orlando Shakes is presenting the world premiere of jazz singer Michael Andrew's musical version of JACK AND THE BEANSTALK. I talked with Andrew about how the style of the show was inspired by the Golden Age of Broadway.
