The Barrow Group to Stage John Yearly's Short Plays THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT

The Barrow Group (Lee Brock and Seth Barrish, Co-Artistic Directors) has announced THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT, a series of short plays by John Gassner Award Winner John Yearley (Leap, Ephemera). Directed by Shannon Patterson (The Beautiful Dark) and K. Lorrel Manning (Happy New Year), THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT will feature Horrible Person That I Am, A Low Lying Fog, Hating Beckett, My Father's Heart and the world premiere of Racist Donut. THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT begins previews on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 W. 36th St., 3rd Floor) with an opening date currently set for Thursday, November 19, 2015 for a strictly limited run through Sunday, December 6, 2015.

John Chatterton's celebrated Short Play lab series concludes its current season with a dozen hot topics in two programs over one weekend. This weekend, Saturday & Sunday at Roy Arias Theaters will be the premiere a final set of 12 new short plays before beginning the festivities that is the 15th Anniversary Season of THE MIDTOWN INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL.

The Theatre at Arts Garage in Delray Beach, Florida opens their season with The Longing and the Short of It, written and composed by acclaimed composer/lyricist Daniel Mate, who won the 2013 Kleban Prize for Most Promising Musical Theatre Lyricist. The song-cycle will delight audiences with a series of catchy, thrilling, and unpredictable theatre songs in a variety of musical styles. Opening night is Friday, November 1, 2013 and the production runs through November 24th; Wednesday - Friday 7:30pm ; Saturday & Sunday 2pm. Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson's Epic Pictures Group is expanding its film production and finance operations with the hiring of John Short as V.P. of International Sales. The hiring marks Ewald and Berenson's commitment to focus on Epic's original productions, while Short will oversee day-to-day operations for the company's successful foreign sales business. Short is introducing Epic's slate at the upcoming Filmart in Hong Kong, March 18-21 and will then attend the Marche du Film in Cannes, May 16-25.

The fifth St. Petersburg Opera "Opera Idol" will be chosen November 30, 2012 at a competition beginning at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Dr., St. Petersburg. The reigning Opera Idol, soprano Vanessa Rodriguez, a recent graduate of University of South Florida, will relinquish her title, but not before singing as part of a quartet (also including Melissa Misener, Chris Romeo, and Rimas Karnavicius, all previous contestants.)
