According to Vulture.com, the recently canceled HBO series BORED TO DEATH may soon return to the cable network in the form of a movie. The show aired its final episode last November.

At the Monte Carlo Television Festival yesterday, 'Bored' star Ted Danson told Pierre Langlas, a French journalist that a 90-minute movie version of the show is a real possibility. An HBO representative would only concede that there has been "some conversations" about the project but "it's at a very early stage."

The HBO comedy series that premiered on September 20, 2009. The show was created by author Jonathan Ames, and stars Jason Schwartzman as a fictional Jonathan Ames—a writer based in Brooklyn, New York City, who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective. The cast also includes Ted Danson as George, and Zach Galifianakis as Ray, both friends of Jonathan.
