Photo Flash: Star of ZOMBIE Bill Connington Attends Macabre Film Festival

Bill Connington, star of the short film ZOMBIE, attended the Macabre Faire Film Festival, where he was nominated for Best Actor, and the film was nominated for Best Short Film. This is the second year for the film fest which is held in Rockville, Long Island. Check out photos below!

Continuing its remarkable momentum, this is the 18th film festival for the psychological thriller. The film is based on the novella by literary giant Joyce Carol Oates. ZOMBIE first appeared on the scene as a solo play, starring Connington, at the New York International Fringe Festival, then for two extended-runs Off-Broadway where it won critical plaudits, and multiple awards. The short film has also been a multiple award-winner. Connington has penned a feature film script, and is in the planning stages for an independent feature film of the project.

In the short film, Connington plays the lead character, Quentin P. At first Quentin just seems socially awkward, but then turns out to be a "normal-seeming" serial killer, who abducts innocent victims, and attempts to turn them into his "zombie" slaves. Critics have dubbed the character "Dahmer-esque." Connington has been compared to Anthony Perkins in Hitchcock's PSYCHO, in the intensity and commitment he brings to the role.
