Dusty Dreams Productions has released the trailer for its upcoming short film, "My Only Son," based on the true story of a young veteran and his struggle during the onset of schizophrenia.

Directed by Geoffroy Faugerolas and written by Jonathan Looper, the film tells the true story of the young man who left the Air Force to help take care of his mother undergoing cancer treatment. Back in the civilian world he decided to return to college and shortly thereafter began experiencing symptoms of schizophrenia. In the film, we see how those symptoms cause him to be alienated and his relationships with friends and family to crumble when that support system is needed the most.

The film features Jan Broberg ("Maniac," "Everwood") as Rhonda Porter, the mother of the young man Clifton Porter, and introduces Jonathan Looper as Clifton. Principal photography was completed in late January. The film is currently in post-production, with an anticipated completion date by the end of this month.
