The 12th annual Fargo Film Festival will begin with one of comedy's on-screen duos. JAY AND SILENT BOB, the iconic characters in Kevin Smith's movies like "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Clerks 2" will make their local debut 8 p.m. March 6 at the Fargo Theatre.

Played by Jason Mewes and Smith, the dope-smoking duo is known for their off-color commentary. In recent years, that commentary has been chronicled in Smith's ongoing podcasts, including the "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old" series, which is a top-ranked comedy podcast on iTunes. The duo will be recording a podcast during the Fargo appearance.

Reserved seating costs $35 and $45; fees may apply. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday at the Tickets 300 kiosk, (866) 300-8300 or www.jadepresents.com. Tickets for this event are sold separately from festival passes.  Admission is not included in any festival passes.
