Garber, Sewell, Anderson Join Cast of I'LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN

As first reported on Deadline.com, Gillian Anderson has joined the cast of the upcoming film I'LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN. The actress will join previously announced cast members Haley Joel Osment, Rufus Sewell and Victor Garber. Production on the film is currently underway in Toronto and will continue through the month of June.

Richie Mehta's I'LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN is a sci-fi mystery that centers on Sewell's character Gabriel, described as "a scientist who mysteriously disappears during a business trip, devastating his wife Marika (Anderson) and son Erol (Osment)." Garber will portray the grandfather of Erol, who years later discovers the shocking truth about Garbriel's fate.

Mehta penned the screenplay and will helm the project which is a follow-up to his previous film "Amal". Lee Kim will produce the film which is being distributed in Canada by Entertainment One.

Gillian Anderson was recently seen on stage in Donmar Warehouse's A Doll's House. Victor Garber is a Tony-award nominee whose Broadway credits include Lend Me a Tenor, Little Me, Deathtrap and Damn Yankees.

Sewell has appeared in The Woodlanders, Dangerous Beauty, Dark City, A Knight's Tale, The Illusionist, Tristan and Isolde, and Martha, Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence. On television, he starred in the 2010 mini-series The Pillars of the Earth. Earlier he played the hero, Will Ladislaw, in the BBC adaptation of George Eliot's Middlemarch. In 2003, he appeared in the lead role in Charles II: The Power and The Passion. He starred in the CBS drama Eleventh Hour which was cancelled in April 2009.

On stage, he originated the role of Septimus Hodge in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the role of Jan in Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll, which earned him an Olivier Award and a Tony Award nomination for the latter performance.

Haley Joel Osment (Ken) rose to fame with his Oscar-nominated performance in M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense. His other credits include Pay It Forward opposite Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt, Steven Spielberg's A.I., and Secondhand Lions opposite Michael Caine and Robert Duvall. He then took four years off to attend NYU and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. During his time at NYU he made his Broadway debut in 2008 in a revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo, co-starring John Leguizamo and Cedric the Entertainer.
