Today, January 16, Brandon Victor Dixon, currently starring as Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway, celebrated Martin Luther King Day with hundreds of NYC public school children at the Chess in the Schools  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Chess Tournament at PS 11 in Chelsea. Dixon, who played chess as a student himself, addressed the kids  at the tournament's awards presentation. 

Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped by Hamilton yesterday with pals Josh Groban and Cate Blanchett to judge the all-important holiday door-decorating contest, and BroadwayWorld was there to capture all the highlights.

Attention HAMILTON fans! 'The Hamilton Mixtape' has arrived!  Featuring a collection of remixes, covers, and tracks inspired by the multi-Tony Award winning Broadway musical, featured artists include: Sia, Usher, Chance the Rapper, Busta Rhymes, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor, and Queen Latifah.

Just before Thanksgiving, Actor and Hollywood Records recording artist Jordan Fisher made his Broadway debut in Hamilton, starring as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. Fisher took over for original cast member Anthony Ramos who played his final performance on November 20.

The holiday season is not complete without the perfect music to accompany it. 'Broadway's Carols for a Cure' is the latest compilation album that embodies the spirit of the season like nothing else can. Earlier today, #FindYourPark enthusiast Mikah Meyer met with Hamilton's newest George Washington Nicholas Christopher (Miss Saigon, Lazarus, Motown) for a private tour of Hamilton Grange National Memorial. During the afternoon, Mikah and Nicholas learned about the role of Hamilton Grange in the National Park Service - and some interesting tidbits about George Washington's connection to Alexander Hamilton's NYC homestead. Mikah is on his way to breaking two world records - becoming the youngest person to visit all 400+ National Park Service sites, and the only person to do it in one continuous trip. 

This afternoon, Hamilton's Christopher Jackson celebrated the latest in a long line of achievements: his own portrait at Sardi's! BroadwayWorld was in attendance and got some terrific shots of the Commander in Chief himself celebrating the occasion. Check out all the photos below!
