Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical KINKY BOOTS at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015- and BroadwayWorld as a first look at the star in costume below!

Just yesterday, Tony Award-winner Billy Porter joined hundreds of hopefuls outside of the Hirschfeld Theatre in their most fabulous red footwear to celebrate the show's 1000th performance. To pay homage to the show's now-iconic red boots, the first 50 people in line at the Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St) wearing red shoes received a free pair of tickets, plus the three most fabulous pairs of footwear, and winners (as chosen by Porter) got to join the cast backstage after the evening performance. Later that night the cast gathered on stage to celebrate with a toast and custom Kinky Boots cupcakes provided by Baked by Melissa. On Thursday, July 9, 2015, BROADWAY SERVES kicked off its summer-long partnership with the Children's Aid Society. Child volunteers from the theater community teamed up with CAS' kindergarten-3rd grade campers to fill and decorate toiletry bags. These toiletries will be donated to formerly homeless residents currently living in an Urban Pathways facility. Tom Viola, Executive Director of BC/EFA, recently joined the cast of KINKY BOOTS in presenting Cyndi Lauper with a "big check" representing the $150,000 donated to TRUE COLORS FUND by BC/EFA from over $1.2 million in resources raised by the show since opening in April 2013. Scroll down for photos!

Miss P, the Beagle the who was named Best in Show earlier this week at the 2015 Westminster Best in Show, continues her NYC tour, making her Broadway debut last night with a walk-on role in Broadway's Kinky Boots. BroadwayWorld was there for her big night and you can check out photos below!

Kyle Taylor Parker, who has been starring as 'Lola' in the National Tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots, steps into the role on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for three months, taking over for Tony Award-winner Billy Porter. Parker was originally slated to begin performances tonight, January 27, but due to Winter Storm Juno, the actor will make his debut on Thursday, January 29, instead. KINKY BOOTS is heading to South Korea! This will be the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. The show is set to run December 1, 2014 through February 22, 2015 in Seoul at the Chungmu Art Hall Grand Theatre. Opening night is December 5. Scroll down for photos of the Korean principal cast!

Broadway's smash hit musical Kinky Boots has a new cast treading the boards at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre: Andy Kelso, who previously played 'Harry', takes over the role of 'Charlie Price', Jeanna de Waal joins the cast as 'Lauren'; Jake Odmark is now playing the ensemble in the roles previously played by Andy Kelso; and Cortney Wolfson has taken over as 'Nicola.' It's been almost a decade since the Pittsburgh-born Billy Porter released a solo album, and since then much has changed for the award-winning artist, who grew up singing in the Pentecostal church. Perhaps best known for his Tony Award-winning role as 'Lola' in the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, Porter's musical background is based in gospel, soul and R&B. He released his first solo album, Untitled, on A&M Records, and a second album, At The Corner of Broadway + Soul, on Sh-K-Boom Records. On April 15, 2014, Porter releases his debut on Concord Records, Billy's Back on Broadway. The CD is now available for pre-order on Amazon, and you can get a first look at the artwork below!
