As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Grammy Award-nominated Panic! At the Disco front man Brendon Urie will make his Broadway debut as 'Charlie Price' in Kinky Boots, beginning Friday, May 26 through August 6, 2017. 

Harvey Fierstein and Cindi Lauper's multi award winning, feel good hit KINKY BOOTS delighted Sydney's opening night audience with its heart-warming story of courage, acceptance and fabulous footwear.

Four years ago, KINKY BOOTS raised us up for the first time at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, marking the beginning of a historic Broadway run. Last night the award-winning musical celebrated the milestone and BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration!

Just last night, Cyndi Lauper was on hand to welcome the audience to TDF's one-night-only concert fundraiser, TDF HONORS Kinky Boots. The show featured the entire current Broadway cast and former cast members of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical. Original stars, Billy Porter ('Lola'), Annaleigh Ashford ('Lauren') and Stark Sands ('Charlie').

Earlier this month, Broadway's high-heeled hit, Kinky Boots, which opened on April 4, 2013 and has played more than 1500 performances, surpassed Evita to become the 50th longest-running Broadway show of all time. That's not all the show has to celebrate. Taylor Louderman (Lauren), Killian Donnelly (Charlie)  and Todrick Hall (Lola) have joined the cast in recent weeks and you can check out a first look at the new gang in action below!

The holiday season is not complete without the perfect music to accompany it. Just last night, Todrick Hall officially joined the Broadway company of Kinky Boots as 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical, where he remains through March 5, 2017. Hall, an internationally known YouTube personality and Broadway actor who just finished a sold-out national tour of his show Straight Outta Oz, succeeds the Award-winning Alan Mingo, Jr. in Kinky Boots, now in its 4th smash year at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street).

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Todrick Hall will join the Broadway company of Kinky Boots as 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical, beginning tomorrow, November 1, 2016 through March 5, 2017.

Aaron C. Finley, Shannon O'Boyle and Haven Burton joined the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots earlier this summer in the roles of Charlie Price, Nicola and Lauren, respectively. They were welcomed by Alan Mingo, Jr. as Lola. Kinky Boots is currently playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). BroadwayWorld has a first look at the new stars in action below!

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrated Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, the creators of the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, with the 2,577th and 2,578th stars, respectively, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the historic Pantages Theatre today, April 11, 2016. Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler emceed, and unveiling the star were guest speakers Sharon Osbourne on behalf of Lauper, and Marissa Jaret Winokur on behalf of Fierstein. KINKY BOOTS producer Hal Luftig and director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell were also on hand to celebrate. Earlier this week, the hit musical Kinky Boots celebrated its three-year anniversary on Broadway, making it the longest running show to ever play the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), a record previously held by the original production of The Man of La Mancha.

Billy Porter, who has played over 800 performances in the role of 'Lola' and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in Broadway's KINKY BOOTS, took the stage in his final historic performance last night, November 20, 2015.
