STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented earlier this week in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. Williams, who was originally set to begin performances at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.) on Tuesday, June 25, was sidelined with a sinus infection earlier last week. Her 7-week run will begin on June 25th and wrap up on August 11. Currently, actress and Sirius/XM radio host Christine Pedi takes on the iconic role where she joins Chicago cast members Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly,Adam Pascal as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Last night, Broadway's acclaimed record-breaking revival of the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago welcomed singer, songwriter, actor and multi-platinum recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus in his Broadway stage debut as 'that silver-tongued prince of the courtroom,' slick criminal lawyer Billy Flynn. Cyrus will play a limited seven-week engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.) this holiday season, Monday November 5 through Sunday, December 23.
