Broadway In Chicago just announced that RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA, the 2013 Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music, will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) for a limited engagement from December 16, 2014 through January 4, 2015.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment announces the 2014 audition cites and dates for the Rockettes Summer Intensive summer training program in New York City. The Rockettes Summer Intensive offers aspiring dancers the unique opportunity to train with the Rockettes as well as a Rockettes Director/Choreographer and learn their signature precision dance technique. Acceptance into the Rockettes Summer Intensive is a crucial stepping stone for Rockettes hopefuls who aspire and dream to one day be part of the legendary dance company. Auditions begin January 4, 2014 in Dallas, TX; Nashville, TN and run through February 16, 2014 in 13 different cities across the country.

Chicago Theatre Week 2014, which celebrates the rich tradition of theatre-going in Chicago, is returning for its second year after beating expectations in its inaugural season. Over 100 productions are expected to participate. New to this year's Theatre Week is a partnership with area hotels, which will be offering Chicago Theatre Week packages to include a hotel room and a pair of tickets to one of ten productions. Chicago Theatre Week is presented by the League of Chicago Theatres in partnership with Choose Chicago.

Oxygen's fan-favorite original series 'Bad Girls Club' will take on the Windy City of Chicago on Tuesday nights beginning Spring 2014.

The Theatre School at DePaul University proudly presents NUMBER THE STARS, by Dr. Douglas W. Larche with Susan Elliott Larche, based on the novel by Lois Lowry, and directed by Ernie Nolan, as the second production of the 2013-2014 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences season. This production opens Saturday, January 18, and runs through Saturday, February 22, 2014, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 AM, and Saturdays at 2 PM. A special Sunday performance (2 PM) will be held on February 16. There will be no Saturday performance on February 15. Friday performances are on February 14 and 21 (10 AM).

The Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) announces its Winter 2014 programs: featuring critically acclaimed authors Gary Shteyngart, Karen Russell, and Mohsin Hamid. Chicago Fringe Festival Executive Director Vinnie Lacey announces the Chicago Fringe Festival 2013, held August 29 - September 8, its first time in the new location of Jefferson Park was a success and the Festival will return in 2014. Attendance was up over the previous two years with 3887 attendees. The Festival had more than 25 sold out performances and the number of Fringe Festival passes was at an all time high. According to the Chicago Tribune, Broadway veteran Louise Pitre will lead GYPSY when it plays Chicago Shakespeare Theatre next year. Directed by Gary Griffin, the production will run at Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater, February 6- March 23.

Court Theatre and American Blues Theater jointly announce the development of a new adaptation of Richard Wright's classic novel, Native Son, adapted by Nambi E.
