Talk about baptism by fire! That's what Gustavo Dudamel--that wunderkind of the classical conducting world--faced as he reached the podium of the Met for the first time Friday night. Not only was he conducting Verdi's great opera, OTELLO, but he was doing so with a last-minute substitute in the title role. The result: All went well with the Met's production of the masterwork.

Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen announced today that 20% of single ticket sales from the performances of Our Town on July 23rd through 26th will be donated to Aspen Community Foundation's Community to Community Fund to benefit those affected by the fire that has ravaged the mid-valley communities.

The script-in-hand readings will take place Thursday Nov 16th at The Lark Play Development Center and Friday, November 17th at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios. The presentation will be directed by Margarett Perry.
