So-fi (Co-Founders; Jody Christopherson (Artistic Director), Nathan Gebhard (Managing Director) and Romy Nordlinger (Producing Director)) announce added January performances in the so-fi (winter mini) festival, a low-fi, multi-disciplinary solo performance festival, co-produced by, and at Torn Page in Chelsea (435 W 22nd Street, 2nd Floor), a performance space in the historic home of Rip Torn and Geraldine Page.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) engages the audience's imagination as the epic adventure of An Iliad brings life to 54 characters through a single poet and her muse, a cellist. Performances take place in the Outcalt Theatre at Playhouse Square from January 12th through February 10th, 2019.  Featuring a heroic sound, with original composition by cellist Eva Rose Scholz-Carlson, actress Tarah Flanagan performs as The Poet in this adaptation of Homer's work, written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare.

So-fi (Co-Founders; Jody Christopherson, Nathan Gebhard, Romy Nordlinger) announce the launch of a new curated festival, for low-fi, multi-disciplinary solo performance, co-produced by, and at Torn Page in Chelsea (435 W 22nd Street, 2nd Floor), a performance space in the historic home of Rip Torn and Geraldine Page. The impetus for this festival was to create an opportunity for touring and local artists, who push the boundaries of multiple forms, to be produced affordably in New York. The majority of box office sales from each performance go directly to artists.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel's thought-provoking play Indecent. Inspired by the 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's Yiddish drama The God of Vengeance, and the controversy that surrounded its themes of censorship, immigration and anti-Semitism, Vogel explores the behind-the-scenes story of the courageous artists who risked their careers and lives to perform this piece of theater under the most challenging circumstances. Infused with music that combines standards from Yiddish theater with folk traditions of the early to mid-20th century, Indecent, a co-production with Baltimore Center Stage and Kansas City Repertory, is directed by Eric Rosen, with choreography by Erika Chong Shuch and music direction and original music by Alexander Sovronsky. The production runs November 23 - December 30, 2018 in the Kreeger Theater.

Netflix today announced that it will produce the animated feature film, Escape From Hat, from two time Academy Award nominated director Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda, The Little Prince) together with writer Adam Kline (Artemis Fowl, The Clockwork War). Production will commence this month in New York.

Based on Jeanette Winterson's award-winning children's book which tells the Nativity story from the donkey's point of view, The Lion, the Unicorn, and Me features music by Tony-award winning composer Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home) and a libretto by the late poet J.D. 'Sandy' McClatchy. These performances star current and former members of WNO's Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program.
