On September 5, 2010, IN THE HEIGHTS creator Lin-Manuel Miranda wed his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa, in an intimate celebration amongst family and friends. On August 19, 2010, In The Heights welcomed Kyle Beltran as Broadway's resident bodega owner, 'Usnavi,' following the footsteps of Heights creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and, most recently, Corbin Bleu. No stranger to the show, or the part of 'Usnavi,' Beltran originated the lovable role on the First National Tour of In The Heights, which opened last October in Tampa.

Broadway actress Bianca Marroquin (In the Heights, Chicago) is pleased to announce details for 'To Mexico From New York with Love,' a one-night-only benefit concert on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 (8 p.m.) at the Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street).

Chris Jackson, who recently left the company of In the Heights after playing leading man Benny since 2002, was presented by his castmates with a truly inspirational tribute video. Receivng the help of Rascal Media, which also made IN THE HEIGHTS:CHASING BROADWAY DREAMS, Chris left the cast with this touching sendoff.

Yesterday, July 29, actor/singer Corbin Bleu attended the IN THE HEIGHTS 'Graduate To New Heights' scholarship presentation at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City. A check for 17 thousand dollars was given to Rutgers student Rebecca Cunarro after the July 29th performance. BroadwayWorld brings coverage of the event below.

Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical In the Heights in partnership with CLEAR CHANNEL NY awarded the first 'Graduate to New Heights Scholarship' to Rebecca Cunarro of Stockholm, NJ. Cunarro will receive $17,177.44 to continue her studies at Rutgers University. She was surprised with the news at the curtain call of the Thursday, July 29, performance of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical.

After six months, 181 performances, Off-Broadway and over two years and just under 1000 performances on Broadway, Latin Assistant Choreographer and ensemble member Luis Salgado will play his final performance of In the Heights at 7pm on July 25th.
