Set to rock the Lackland Performing Arts Center all summer long, Centenary Stage Company's 2017 Summer Jamfest will feature; Drive: A Tribute to the Cars on Saturday, July 15 at 8pm; The Doo Wah Riders on Saturday, July 22 at 8pm; The British Invasion Years on Saturday, July 29 at 8pm; the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra on Saturday, August 5 at 8pm and Dr. K's Motown Revue on Saturday, August 12 at 8pm. All performances will be held in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Performing Arts Center.

Shakespeare & Company's newly appointed Artistic Director Allyn Burrows announced the famed (and largest) Shakespeare Festivals in the country lineup for the 2017 Berkshire summer season at at a press event at Chez Josephine in New York City and BroadwayWorld was there. This season includes three Shakespeare plays: Cymbeline, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night's Dream; plus two Edith Wharton comedies, Roman Fever and the newly adapted The Fullness of Life. Additional titles include the Obie Award winning 4,000 Miles by Amy Herzog; New York Drama Critics Circle and the Outer Critics Circle Recipient, Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage; and Tony Award Winner, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is pleased to continue their groundbreaking arts education initiative titled PROJECT38 with the public FREE PROJECT38 Festival! CSC teaching artists have spent over 250 hours this school year working with over 1,600 students at more than 45 different schools to bring each of Shakespeare's 38 plays to life in creative ways. On April 20-23, 2017 all of the Cincinnati community will get to experience these amazing performances at a weekend-long free festival in downtown Cincinnati! Running from Thursday, April 20 and concluding on Sunday April 23 (Shakespeare's birthday), Memorial Hall will be full of 45 hours of free arts events for the entire community! Additional free Performances and Workshops will occur in Washington Park on Sunday April 23, in celebration of the Bard's birthday. Last year, the PROJECT38 Festival drew over 5,000 people to OTR.

Burning Coal Theatre Company will present their regular Oakwood 'cemetery full of life!' plays in May, this year highlighting notable immigrants and their contributions to the Raleigh community. Directed by George Jack of St. Augustine's University, the plays will run May 19-21, 2017 at the Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh NC. Friday and Saturday performances will be at 6:30pm, Sundaywill be at 2pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
