Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie today announces the full casting for his revival of Guys and Dolls - Natalie Casey (Miss Adelaide), Darragh Cowley (Lt Brannigan), Dafydd Emyr (Big Jule), Jacob Fisher (Harry the Horse), Adrian Hansel (Benny Southstreet), Dawn Hope (General Cartwright), Kadiff Kirwan (Sky Masterson), TJ Lloyd (Nicely-Nicely Johnson), Matthew Malthouse (Rusty Charlie), Martin Marquez (Nathan Detroit), Ross McLaren (Angie the Ox), Garry Robson (Arvide Abernathy), and Alex Young (Sarah Brown) with Shaquille Brush (Havana Boy), Frances Camier (Havana Girl), Charlotte Coggin, Adam Denman, Emily Dunn, Tash Holway, Samantha Hull, Kate Playdon and Anthony Starr. The production opens on 12 December, with previews from 7 December, and runs until 18 January 2020.

USA Network has set the cast and director for the pilot MASTERS OF DOOM. The pilot will star Eduardo Franco ('Booksmart'), Patrick Gibson ('The OA'), John Karna ('Valley of the Boom'), Jane Ackermann ('Neptune') and Siobhan Williams ('Deadly Class'). Peter Friedman ('Succession') will recur as a guest star.

Chichester Festival Theatre and Menier Chocolate Factory today announce the full cast for the London première of Olivier Award-winner Laura Wade's The Watsons at the Menier. Samuel West directs original cast members Sam Alexander (Robert Watson), Sally Bankes (Nanny), Joe Bannister (Lord Osborne), Jane Booker (Lady Osborne), Elaine Claxton (Mrs Edwards), Tim Delap (Mr Howard), Sophie Duval (Mrs Robert), Louise Ford (Laura), John Wilson Goddard (Mr Watson), Grace Molony (Emma Watson), Elander Moore (Bertie), Paksie Vernon (Elizabeth Watson), Cat White (Miss Osborne) and Laurence Ubong Williams (Tom Musgrave), who are joined by Rhianna McGreevy (Margaret Watson), with Isaac Forward, Sonny Fowler and Teddy Probets sharing the role of Charles Howard for the run at the Menier. The Watsons played to critical acclaim at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2018. The production opens at the Menier on 30 September, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 16 November.

The Acting Company (Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley; Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) today announced casting for the final reading in the 23rd John McDonald Salon Reading Series, Letters from Prison, a curated evening from adapter Dakin Matthews (To Kill a Mockingbird) that collects the original letters of acclaimed literary and historic figures to explore the nature of justice and imprisonment, from the Bible to the present day. The Academy Invites 842 To Membership; 50% Are Women

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.
John Boyega, Letitia Wright to Star in Steve McQueen Series for BBC One

BBC One, Turbine Studios and Lammas Park are proud to announce that Oscar and Bafta-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen (Widows, Twelve Years A Slave) has cast his TV series entitled Small Axe for BBC One with an all-star British cast including John Boyega and Letitia Wright. The series is executive produced by Tracey Scoffield and David Tanner for Turbine Studios and Steve McQueen for Lammas Park. Shooting began on location in London on June 24.

Rehearsals have begun for David Mamet's new play Bitter Wheat which opens at the Garrick Theatre in London on Friday 7 June 2019, with a press night on Wednesday 19 June 2019. The run, which was originally scheduled to finish on 14 September, now finishes on Saturday 21 September 2019.

Adapted and directed by Emma Rice, the musical opens on 25 July 2019 at The Passenger Shed in the company's home city of Bristol, before embarking on a national tour to Cambridge, York, Exeter, Manchester and Oxford.
