Harrison Ford Set for ANCHORMAN Sequel

According to The Hollywood Reporter, film legend Harrison Ford has officially signed on for the upcoming sequel to Will Ferrel's hit comedy ANCHORMAN. Ford will portray an infamous and acclaimed newscaster, in the vein of Tom Brokaw. Click here to read the original report. Anchorman: The Legend Continues will once again star Will Ferrell as news anchorman Ron Burgundy. Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, and Kristen Wiig will also star. The first film was released by Dreamworks in 2004 and grossed more than $91 million worldwide at the box office. The film is set to begin filming next month. Ford is also reportedly set to return to the franchise that launched his career in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, helmed by J.J. Abrams. Since portraying Solo in the early '80's, Ford has been featured in the Indiana Jones franchise, as well as such films as Blade Runner, The Fugutive, Sabrina, Witness, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and Air Force One. |
