Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey, and other members of the Academy Award-winning cast of the 1972 film CABARET, were reunited at last night's 40th Anniversary screening of the movie musical. The event took place at New York City's famed Ziegfeld Theatre and was presented by Turner Classic Movies, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and Verizon. Check out photos below!
The film's stars Michael York and Marisa Berenson also attended the event along with Nicole Fosse, daughter of the late choreographer Bob Fosse, and Robert Osborne of Turner Classic Movies. Other notable guests were two-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters (Follies), Alan Cummings and 1950s film star Arlene Dahl.
The Broadway musical Cabaret featured a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff. The film will soon be available on Blu-ray and will include a re-mastered edition of the film, a new documentary titled "Cabaret: The Musical that Changed Musicals," vintage documentaries, and photographs.
