Last week, BWW reported that director Gary Ross was leaving THE HUNGER GAMES franchise and would not take part in the upcoming sequel 'Catching Fire' when production begins this fall. Recent trade reports had rumored that the director was having financial disputes with Lionsgate Studios and was concerned about the film's production schedule that is set to begin this August. Darkhorizons.com now reports that Ross is back in negotiations with Lionsgate to stay on as director of the Hunger Games second installment. The film is currently set to have a November 22, 2013 release. According to the report, negotiations remain both "delicate and far from a certain resolution." Ross film credits include the satire 'Pleasantville' and the racing drama 'Seabiscuit'. |
