Summit Entertaiment's Romeo & Juliet with zombies, WARM BODIES, is set to take a big, meaty bite out of the Super Bowl weekend box office.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 'paranormal romantic comedy' is set to take the top spot come Sunday with approximately $20 million. On just Friday alone, the flick is set to drag in between $9-$10 million.
In WARM BODIES, when a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead, and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
Jonathan Levine directs the film which stars Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Cory Hardrict.
As the site also reports, BULLET TO THE HEAD, starring Sylvester Stallone, is shaping up to be profitless wound. The action flick is expected to take in somewhere just south of $6 million, following its early Friday performance of $2M.
Based on a graphic novel, "Bullet to the Head" tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a DC cop (Sung Kang) who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners.
