Esteemed stage and screen star William Daniels will be appearing on the upcoming sequel series to the original BOY MEETS WORLD, the new series being titled GIRL MEETS WORLD.
Daniels famously essayed the role of cantankerous and erudite neighbor, mentor and friend Mr. Feeny on the teen-aimed hit TV series for the seven seasons it ran, from 1993 to 2000.
In the first photo revealed from the set, Daniels shares a smile with mutual returning series star Maitland Ward, who joined the show in its final two seasons when the boy of the title moved on to college.
Ben Savage, who played the central role of Cory, as well as Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, both return as stars of GIRL MEETS WORLD, which premieres later this year.
William Daniels famously starred in the original production of the multi-Tony Award-winning 1776 by Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone, portraying the leading role of John Adams. Additionally, he won an Obie Award for his performance in THE ZOO STORY by Edward Albee in 1960. He also essayed the role of Fredrik Egerman in Hal Prince's original production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and made a mark on the Great White Way with A THOUSAND CLOWNS and ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER. He acted as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1999 to 2001.
So, are you ready for the grand return of Mr. Feeny to your TV screen sometime soon?
