n Atlas Shrugged Part 2, Samantha Mathis plays Dagny Taggart, the heroine who runs a railroad in the face of mounting interference. In this interview, she talks about how she prepared for the role, including Dagny's relationships with her lover, Hank Rearden, and former lover Francisco d'Anconia. Atlas Shrugged Part 2 is the second in a film trilogy based on Ayn Rand's epic novel, Atlas Shrugged.

The interview was conducted by David Kelley, founder and chief intellectual officer of The Atlas Society, a non-profit dedicated to developing the philosophy of Objectivism, which was founded by American author Ayn Rand.
