While visiting the set of Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show 'Live' this morning, Ted star Mark Wahlberg confirmed that there will be a sequel to this summer's blockbuster film. Said Wahlberg, "a deal has already beeen locked and the script is being written now."
In addition, the actor revealed that he will appear along with his Teddy-bear co-star on this year's Academy Awards telecast, being hosted by Ted director Seth MacFarlane. Check out the appearance below!
Ted was directed, co-produced, co-written, and featured the voice of Seth MacFarlane alongside Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis in leading roles. The supporting cast included Joel McHale and Giovanni Ribisi.
Released on June 29, 2012, to critical and commercial success, it became the 12th highest-grossing film of the year, the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year, and the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. The film is currently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
