Isotope Films has released the trailer for its documentary about actress Elaine Stritch. The video can be found on its website at http://isotopefilms.com/projects.php.
Isotope describes the film: "At 87, Broadway legend Elaine Stritch is still at it - on tour in NYC, Detroit, LA and San Francisco. For more than six decades, the Tony and Emmy Award-winning performer has been in the spotlight on the stage and screen. Now we are behind-the-scenes with Stritch: rehearsing, traveling and performing in what may be her final tour of performances. Captured in vivid verite, punctuated by memorable archival footage, interviews and stolen moments, an intimate and inspiring portrait of a survivor emerges. By turns bold, hilarious, and achingly poignant, the film artfully connects Stritch’s past to her present, and asks the viewer to consider what it ultimately means to be alive."
Stritch's Broadway credits include A Little Night Music, Elaine Stritch at Liberty, Angela Lansbury - A Celebration, A Delicate Balance, Show Boat, Company, Love Letters, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, Sail Away, Goldilocks, The Sin of Pat Muldoon, Bus Stop, On Your Toes, Pal Joey, Call Me Madam, Yes M'Lord, Angel in the Wings and Loco. West End credits include Sail Away, Company, and Gypsy. Off-Broadway credits include Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell, Cakewalk, and Private Lives. National Tour credits include Call Me Madam, Mame, and Company.
