Sundance Film Festival Presents MOTHER OF GEORGE Screening and Talkback at Nashville's Belcourt Theatre Tonight

The Sundance Film Festival expands to audiences across the country for one special night of film and dialogue, dispatching 10 filmmakers from Park City to nine cities across the country to screen and discuss their direct-from-Festival films with audiences.

The Belcourt Theatre has been selected by the Sundance Film Festival as one of only 10 venues in America to screen a specially selected film tonight, Jan. 31, 2013 as part of Sundance Film Festival USA. This year, the Belcourt will screen MOTHER OF GEORGE, directed by Andrew Dosunmu. Nashville native Matt Parker is a producer on the film (Parker also co-produced the critically acclaimed BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD). This will be the film's first screening outside of Utah as part of Sundance Film Festival USA, a program designed to introduce the Festival experience to film-loving audiences nationwide. This is the fourth year the Belcourt has been selected to screen a film as part of Sundance Film Festival USA.

Parker appeared here earlier this year with BEASTS, a possible Oscar contender.

It was shot by hot cinematographer Bradford Young, whose credits include RESTLESS CITY, native Nashvillian Dee Rees' PARIAH and Sundance award winner Ava DuVernay's MIDDLE OF NOWHERE."
