Chenango River Theatre, STAR WARS

A beautifully framed Star Wars poster, autographed by the major stars of the first movie in the series, has just been added as one of the featured items. The poster joins the Springsteen autographed guitar & the Ali autographed boxing glove up for auction at Chenango River Theatre's annual Winter Gala to be held at the Silo Restaurant on Jan. 19, 6:00-9:30pm.
Original signatures on the 10" x 16" poster include the major stars, director and composer (Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, Frank Oz, Billy Dee Williams, John Williams and George Lucas). A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
CRT's Winter Gala is open to the public, with reservations required (call 656-8778 for reservations - last year's event sold out, early reservations recommended). Featuring over one hundred items donated by area merchants, those attending the Gala find great bargains on fine artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and gift certificates to area attractions and restaurants.
Among the vacation possibilities up for bid are: A week in a private apartment in the historic village of Lourmaine, France, in the Provence region; One week in a private home in Wrightsville Beach, NC, less than 5 minutes from the beach with numerous golf courses nearby; A week at the Endless Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania.
Included in the evening are exquisite hors d'oeuvres, carving stations and a wealth of desserts as well as complimentary wine, beer & soda for the $65/person admission (which includes a tax-deductible gift). More information is available online at www.chenangorivertheatre.org - click on the Fundraisers/Special Events link at the top of the page.
Corporate tables will be recognized for their support at the event. In addition, corporate table sponsors will receive their choice of a 50% discount for their ad in CRT's 2012 theatre playbill or 4 complimentary tickets to any show in the 2012 season (except the musical).
Pianist Claudia Kachmarik and auctioneer Charlie Manasse will work with Mistress of Ceremonies Heidi Weeks to make the evening memorable.
If you are interested in donating an item, please contact the theatre office at 656-8778.
If someone is unable to attend the event, they can still bid on the Star Wars poster (and any of the other items) by using the remote bidding process (call 607 656-8778 for remote bidding info).
