Tim Heidecker stars in this black comedy about a self-absorbed, filthy-rich, obnoxious hipster, insulting his friends and condescending to strangers, and yet somehow appearing compelling, pitiable, perhaps even likeable. Co-presented with BAMcinemaFest. Filmmaker Rick Alverson will be in attendance for a Q and A following the screening.

Here, some things always go together: pizza and subways, street hustlers and chess. And here, one person’s decay is another person’s garden, one’s junk is another’s gold. This program is a salutation to everyone who hustles to “make it right,” a celebration of those who make the most of every nook and cranny and opportunity, and an unsentimental memorialization of all the people and places, present and past, that make New York the most amazing city in the world.
