As first reported on Deadline.com ex-Beatle Ringo Starr & former Eurythmic band member Dave Stewart are currently collaborating on a musical film for Paramount entitled HOLE IN THE FENCE.
The film is described as a "coming-of-age drama about a group of kids who form a band to escape their depressing mining town." Stewart and Starr have worked together musically in the past and will also serve as executive producers of the project along with Pam Williams.
The script will be penned by David Harris and will be based on Starr and Stewart’s music and original ideA. Harris is also collaborating with Stewart on another project, 'Zombie Broadway', a graphic novel that he created with the musician and Christine Schenley. The feature wil be directed by Jonas Akerlund.
Stewart is also the creator and an executive producer of the upcoming ABC pilot Malibu Country starring Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin.
