Variety has reported that writer Ray Bradbury has signed a deal with White Oaks Films to develop a new miniseries entitled "The Bradbury Chronicles," based on six of Bradbury's short stories of his choosing.
Bradbury has signed on with White Oak Films to develop the project - now targeted as a six-hour event. White Oak's Merrill Capps, Todd Klick, Cory Travalena and Dale Olson are producing.

Bradbury is most known for writing books Fahrenheit 451 and Something Wicked This Way Comes, and has written numerous short stories. In 1985 The Ray Bradbury Theater anthology series ran on HBO, and was completely penned by Bradbury. The series highlighted short stories and novels Bradbury had written.
Bradbury's works have made forays into theatre as well. In 1997 Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles was adapted for the stage and run at the Colony Theatre Company in Los Angeles. In 1988 Bradbury turned his novel Dandelion Wine into a stage play adaption, which was broadcast on Colonial Radio Theatre on the Air, in 2006. Bradbury wrote the script from his stage play, and the production was released by Blackstone Audio. The cast included Jerry Robbins as Bill Forrester, William Humphrey as Douglas Spaulding, Rik Pierce as Grandpa, and James McLean as Tom Spaulding.
