Provocation-Signs-Playwright-3-Filmmakers-Ahead-of-Sundance-20010101

Provocation Entertainment announced today that it has signed four award-winning filmmakers, including playwright Jim Tierney. "As part of our commitment to fostering a clientele of groundbreaking transmedia artists, we've got a playwright transisitioning to film, a filmmaker branching into graphic novels, a TV writer moving into documentaries, and an indie film icon who's an actress/singer/writer/social activist," said Provocation Sr. Manager Eli Perle. "If our clients had any more slashes, they'd be horror film victims."

The four new clients are:

Jim Tierney - a New York-based playwright/screenwriter who has spent the last 8 years producing his work. He's been critically acclaimed for his work in the New York Fringe Festival for both 2010 and 2011. Mr. Tierney is currently seeking talent for his feature "The Banshee of Bainbridge" and is in pre-production for his feature "Carry On" both based on his plays of the same names.

Frank Hudec - a filmmaker and graphic novelist currently living in New York with escape fantasies of returning to Europe. He produced Lise Raven’s award-winning feature "Low", wrote and directed "Building Bombs" - described as "a great, ironic indie... a message from better and happier times," by Andreas Becker, Der Tagesspiegel. Mr. Hudec has directed numerous shorts and advertisements, and has worked as a script doctor. "Necropolis" is his first graphic novel.

Darryl Wharton-Rigby - an international filmmaker, playwright, professor and poet who wrote for the critically acclaimed NBC television series, “Homicide: Life On The Street” and “Just Deal.” His debut feature film “detention,” screened throughout the world and his short film, “Obon,” is currently on the festival circuit. He's currently at work on the feature documentary “Don Doko Don,” about the Yamakiya Taiko Club, which was displaced having high radiation levels from the failed Dai-ichi nuclear plant.

Eddie Daniels - has acted in over forty films, plays, videos and TV guest appearances including such hits as Abel Ferrara's "Bad Lieutenant" with Harvey Keitel, "Ken Park" directed by Larry Clark and Ed Lachman, Matthew Harrison's Sundance award winner "Rhythm Thief" and the upcoming "Meth Head" with Lukas Haas. The lead singer of the all girl band The Nouveaux Riches her next feature film is "Crazy Bitches" shooting April 2012. Managed by Bohemia Group's Susan Ferris and Alison Buck, Provocation is signing Ms. Daniels for public relations only.

Provocation is a full-service management, production and public relations company representing above-the-line clients in the feature film, television, commercial, internet, videogame and graphic novel arenas. Led by senior managers Eli Perle and Elisabeth Jereski, Provocation's existing roster includes filmmakers Dan Mirvish (the upcoming "Between Us", starring Julia Stiles, Taye Diggs & Melissa George, and Slamdance Film Festival Co-founder), and three Slamdance feature Grand Jury winners and Spriti Award nominees: Kevin DiNovis ("Surrender Dorothy"), Eitan Gorlin ("The Holy Land" and co-author of "I Am Martin Eisenstadt"), and South African director Daniel J.
