Following the documentary, is an honorary screening of the feature film All She Can (Fort Worth debut). Lead actress Corina Calderon will be attendance and join the special Q &A Live on the Big Screen with Director Amy Wendel.
Nigel Noble is an Academy and Emmy Award winning producer/director of films and television. Most recently he is the winner of the highest award in television, the George Foster Peabody Award. His work has earned him many awards as both a director and a producer, including an Oscar, a second Oscar nomination, a Christopher award, two Emmy awards, two ACE awards, five CINE Golden Eagles, two NATPE Iris Awards and in 2008 both a jury and an audience award for the same film, and three Telly’s.
Educated in England at Clifton College, Noble began his career as Stage Manager at the ROYAL SHAKESPEARE THEATRE, 1962 to 1964, working with directors, Peter Hall, Peter Brook and Clifford Williams, among others. Noble spent the years from 1965 to 1979 as a recording engineer in both film and music, recording such musicians as THE GRATEFUL DEAD, SANTANA, HOT TUNA, JOE COCKER, REUBEN BLADES, Lionel Hampton,and Bob Dylan.
THE ROSE MARINE LATINO FILM FESTIVAL was created to preserve and honor the Latino cinematic history of the Rose Marine Theater with the mission to promote and foster upcoming filmmakers, students, local and national artists for an event that will highlight the diversity, culture and arts in Fort Worth. Initiated and co-produced with Artes de la Rosa by Claudia Acosta and Liza Rodriguez, the Rose Marine Latino Film Festival is in collaboration with Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, Endeavor Cinema Group, and Lone Star Film Society.
The festival will run Friday, February 24th thru Sunday, February 26th 2012 at the Rose Marine Theater. The Rose Marine Latino Film Festival includes full-length features, shorts, world premieres, regional debuts, awards, industry panels, and special events.
