Stage and screen vet Jeff Daniels spoke at a Michigan film industry town hall meeting in Livonia, MI yesterday, February 24, 2011. Daniels, a Michigan native, urged a crowd of about 3000 to contact their representatives and the state legislature to plead to keep Michigan's generous film tax incentives in place. Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is proposing to replace the film tax incentive program with a 5 million cap on future film credits, which Daniels and other film executives believe would virtually put an end to the booming Michigan film industry.
