The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place Sunday, January 11 2009 at The Beverly Hilton with a live telecast that aired on NBC at 8 PM (EST) and produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. BroadwayWorld was there as the starry arrivals hit the red carpet!

It was a poor showing for theatrical films, with Doubt (5 nominations), Frost/Nixon (5 nominations) and Mamma Mia! (2 nominations ) leaving empty-handed. The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards" were seen in more than 150 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.
