Last night the Gold Coast International Film Festival honored Bruce Dern with its first ever "Legend Award." Lucky audience members were delighted by this intimate conversation with Mr. Dern, a man with an iron trap mind for every delicious cinematic detail he has experienced
over his four-decade career. A cinephile's dream!

Throughout the evening there was lots of laughter and applause and also many tears as audience members were touched and moved by Mr.Dern's reccollections of an astonishg life in Hollywood. A clip of Mr Dern's new film was shown "Twixt Now and Sunrise" and a surprise appearance by Francis Ford Coppola (via TV) wishing Burce a Happy Birthday added to the excitement. The Gold Coast Film Festival is running June 1 - 5 on the North Shore of Long Island. Festival events include screenings of over 45 feature-length films and many special events, filmmaker panels screenings take place in the Clearview Cinemas in 20 short films as well as and parties. All the towns of Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Roslyn and Herricks. Most theaters are walking distance from the LIRR.
