jOBS, the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher, is set to close out year's 2013 Sundance Film Festival. With the festival opening in just two weeks, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Open Road is currently in talks to distribute the film domestically.
Sources say that Open Road and the jOBS' team are entertaining the idea of a "rent a system" deal. It would boil down to the producers, Five Star Feature Films, paying for all of the film's marketing.Directed by Joshaua Michael Stern, with a script by Matt Whitely, jOBS is the true story of one of the greatest entrepreneurs in American history, jOBS chronicles the defining 30 years of Steve Jobs' life. jOBS is a candid, inspiring and personal portrait of the one who saw things differently. Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, Matthew Modine.
The 2013 Sundance Film Festival is set to open Jan. 17 and run through Jan. 27.
