Morgan Freeman to be Guest of Honor at Sarajevo Film Festival, 7/23-7/31

Morgan Freeman will be this year's guest of honor at Bosnia's Sarajevo Film Festival, Variety reports.  The festival will run from July 23 to July 31.

'Invictus,' directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Freeman as Nelson Mandela, will be shown at the festival's closing gala.  Freeman will also meet with young film professionals of Sarajevo and will then attend Croatia's Dubrovnik Film Meeting, which the Sarajevo film festival organizes.

Acclaimed actor Morgan Freeman's Broadway credits include THE COUNTRY GIRL and HELLO, DOLLY!  He won an Academy Award for his performance in 'Million Dollar Baby' and was nominated for an additional four Academy Awards (for 'Street Smart,' 'Driving Miss Daisy,' 'The Shawshank Redemption,' and 'Invictus').  His other film credits include 'Unforgiven,' 'March of the Penguins,' and 'The Dark Knight.'  Freeman has received a Kennedy Center Honor.
