International best-selling recording star Mariah Carey has contributed a stirring pop-flecked tune to the soundtrack of the forthcoming Disney film OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, titled "Almost Home".
The song will be featured in the WICKED-esque 3D extravaganza exploring the relationship between the Wicked Witch Of The West and Glinda, The Good Witch, as well as how the Wizard Of Oz himself (James Franco) figures into it all. Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis also star. The film was directed by Sam Raimi.
"Almost Home" was written by Simone Porter, Justin Gray, Lindsey Ray, Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Erikse.
OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL will be released by Disney in 3D and 2D nationwide on March 8.
Mariah Carey is currently a judge on FOX's hit reality singing competition AMERICAN IDOL.
