'Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day' Screens in Movie Theaters Nationwide, 10/17 & 18

Led-Zeppelin-20010101

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin.

Fans across the U.S. will finally get to see the historic concert in all its glory, as NCM Fathom Events and Omniverse Vision present "Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day" tonight, October 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. local time in select movie theaters nationwide. The Concert film features founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, joined by Jason Bonham-son of the band's late drummer John Bonham- as they perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock And Roll," "Kashmir," "Stairway to Heaven" and much more.

Tickets for "Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day" are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com. The event will be presented in more than 200 select movie theaters around the country through NCM's exclusive Digital Broadcast Network. For a complete list of theater locations and prices, visit the NCM Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).

Although 20 million people applied for tickets, the band's first headline show in 27 years was seen only by the 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to have secured seats through the worldwide lottery.

"This Fathom Event will feature 16 of Led Zeppelin's top songs that have made them a cult favorite among fans," said Shelly Maxwell, executive vice president of NCM Fathom Events. "Thousands of fans missed their chance to see them live in 2007 – this is their opportunity to experience the rock n' roll reunion of the century in the comfort of their local movie theater."

The film of "Celebration Day" will see a worldwide theatrical release on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on October 17. The theatrical screenings will follow premieres in London, Los Angeles, New York, and other major cities.

"Led Zeppelin make more rock 'n roll history with the phenomenal concert film of their 2007 London reunion," said Grant Calton of Omniverse Vision. "Omniverse Vision is hugely excited to be the global theatrical distributor of Celebration Day - it promises to be THE cinema event of 2012."
