Kristen Wiig, Hailee Steinfeld, Guy Pearce, and Nick Nolte are all set to star in the upcoming indie flick, HATESHIP, FRIENDSHIP, The Hollywood Reporter announced this evening. Liza Johnson (RETURN) is helming the dramedy which begins filming in New Orleans next week.
Based on Alice Munro's collection of short stories, HATESHIP, FRIENDSHIP, COURTSHIP, LOVESHIP, MARRIAGE, the film follows a nanny, play by Wiig, who is hired to watch over for wild teen (Steinfeld). The girl creates a romance between the nanny and her addict of a dad, who lives in a neighboring town.
Wiig has previously starred in 2011's blockbuster hit 'Bridesmaids,' and the independent films 'Imogene' and 'Revenge of the Jolly!'. She was also a long-time player on Saturday Night Live before departing last year.
