Kate Hudson in Talks to Join Romantic Comedy 'Something Borrowed'

Actress Kate Hudson is in negotiations to join the romantic comedy 'Something Borrowed' for Alcon Entertainment and 2S Films, according to a report in Variety. The film stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Jonh Krasinksi and Colin Egglesfield. Luke Greenfield will direct with a script by Jennie Snyder Urman.

'Something Borrowed' is based on the Emily Griffin 2005 novel of the same name. The plot centers on a New York-based attorney (played by Goodwin) who gets drunk on her 30th birthday and sleeps with the fiance of her best friend (played by Hudson). The one-night stand soon turns into a full affair and Goodwin's character must choose between the life-long friendship with Hudson's character and the man of her dreams.

Shooting is slated to commence in April.
