Digitalspy.com reports that Justin Timberlake is in talks to star in the lead role of Paramount Pictures' upcoming big screen adaptation of BAYWATCH. According to the report, the former 'NSYNC band member would play the role of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who is attempting to become part of the Baywatch team.
The film is said to be "loosely based" on the 1990s TV show of the same name. Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan penned the script. Rumors have also circulated that stars of the original TV show David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson will make cameo appearances in the big screen reboot.
Ivan Reitman, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are attached as producers on the film. No release date has been announced.
