According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage veteran Ian McShane is set to star in one of the new Snow White movies in the works, 'Snow White and the Huntsman.' McShane joins previously announced Kristin Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth.
Snow White and the Huntsman is an upcoming 2012 American fantasy adventure film directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty. The movie is currently in pre-production and is slated for release on June 1, 2012 in the United States. The film is inspired by the Grimm's fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
McShane starred as Max in the 40th anniversary Broadway revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming, co-starring Eve Best, Raul Esparza, and Michael McKean and directed by Daniel Sullivan, at the Cort Theatre. He has starred in BBC's Lovejoy (1986-94) and particularly in the HBO Western drama Deadwood (2004-06). In 2009 he starred in the NBC series Kings as King Silas Benjamin.
